Dear Students,
Join us for a guided walk through Hamburg’s historic Grindelviertel, where we will explore the former sites of synagogues and other Jewish institutions that once shaped the neighborhood. Along the way, we will hear about the stories and fates of Jewish residents who lived here, shedding light on their lives before and during the Nazi period.
The tour will also reflect on different forms of remembrance, including the “Stolpersteine” — small memorial plaques placed in front of the last voluntarily chosen homes of those who were persecuted and murdered.
The tour will be conducted in English.
